I'm Jacey Bailey
You’re probably expecting me to lead with my degrees, my career highlights, some polished summary of what I bring to the table. But that’s what my resume is for, and if that’s what you’re looking for, you can find it here.
This is the other part. The part that doesn’t fit in a bullet point.
For most of my life, I was a basketball player. That wasn’t just what I did, it was who I was. I competed at the Division I level and represented Canada at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. When that chapter ended, I had to figure out who I was without it. Turns out, that’s been the most valuable thing I’ve ever done.
What followed has been a few years of genuine exploration...
Different industries
Different environments
Different versions of what a career could look like
I’m someone who chases curiosity and never wants to stop learning... about people, about craft, about how things work, about myself. Right now that curiosity looks like learning how to metalsmith and a growing obsession with making things by hand, take this website as an example.
I’m grateful for every stop that got me here. Each one taught me something about where I thrive, and I thrive in fast-paced, people-first environments where creativity and strategy overlap. I come alive when I’m thrown directly in the mix, collaborating and building something that actually matters.
That’s what I’m looking for next.
